Name: Ksenia Ravvina

Where are you from? Saint Petersburg/Berlin

Describe yourself in 1-3 sentences (1-3 Words):

Who is “Artist”?

What is extinct? What should exist? Between these two questions there is a gap, which I would call the habitat of art. For art can only survive in an in-between space, balancing among the existing and the non-existing.

How do you feel about mistakes? “Whoa! I feel good… I feel nice, like sugar and spice…”

Superpowers?

What is art for?

From my personal collection of “180 answers to the question “what art is for?”. Even if culture cannot prevent catastrophes, it is what stands by one’s side in the darkest moments.

Ksenia Ravvina, a director, an author, a dramaturg, studied History at Saint Petersburg State University, Directing in Frankfurt and Applied theater studies at Justus Liebig University in Giessen.
