OPEN CALL CoLab° 2025
for emerging bulgarian artists

180° – Laboratory for Innovative Art invites emerging artists based in Bulgaria to apply for CoLab° – a collaborative, interdisciplinary mini-residency taking place during the 2025 festival edition.

CoLab° brings together artists from Bulgaria, Switzerland, and Italy for a week of cross-disciplinary exchange and collective creation. Bulgarian participants will collaborate with peers from other artistic fields such as music, theatre, dance, performance, visual or digital arts. The results will be presented as part of the official 180° Festival programme.

What’s the Program About?

CoLab° is a week-long interdisciplinary residency for early-career artists from diverse backgrounds, encouraging collaboration across disciplines. 

Six artists from Switzerland, Italy and Bulgaria will exchange ideas, experiment in small groups and co-create new work. The results will be shared publicly during the festival.

The lab is not focused on perfect outcomes, but on process, risk-taking, dialogue, and artistic exploration. Participants will be mentored by Ksenia Ravvina, a Berlin-based theatre director, author and curator with extensive international experience and an interdisciplinary approach that weaves together political and poetic dimensions. Throughout the week, they will also engage with other artists, curators and festival guests.

This year, CoLab° is part of the Community Lab programme of 180°, offering access to discussions, critical exchange formats, and networking events in collaboration with ACT Festival for Independent Theater.
