ROSSELLA DELVECCHIO

Dance

Rossella Delvecchio began her training at the Scarpette Rosse Dance School in Barletta, directed by Maria Filannino, studying classical and contemporary dance.

In 2018, she entered the Dance Program of the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan, under the direction of Marinella Guatterini, training with teachers and choreographers such as Ariella Vidach, Biagio Caravano, Paola Lattanzi, Emanuela Tagliavia, Davide Montagna, Simona Bertozzi, Maria Consagra, and Cédric Charron.

In parallel, she has developed her own creative path: SOUL SPACE (finalist at the Premio Prospettiva Danza Teatro 2021, presented at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Festival Ipercorpo, NAO Performing Festival, and Alloggiando Art Fest), NOSÉ (Festival Corpo Mobile, OFF STAGE), and NARCISA (Festival FOG – Triennale Milano, in collaboration with Ariella Vidach AiEP). She has taken part in international projects such as BeInternational (Jerusalem) and MAM contemporanea with the Mendrisiotto Museums Network.

In 2024, she worked alongside Simone Sandroni as assistant choreographer for Let There Be Light (Nu Dance Fest, Bratislava) and performed in Limiti by Damiano Bigi with the dancers of the Civica Paolo Grassi.

YEHU SHA’ASHUA-DAR

Yehu Sha’ashua-Dar (1996) is a musician working in the space between rock, electronic, and experimental music practices, currently residing in Basel, Switzerland. Having completed his master’s degree in music composition under the tutelage of Caspar Johannes Walter and Michel Roth, Yehu writes music for solo, chamber and orchestral configurations. Yehu is also a singer-songwriter, leading an experimental rock band currently recording its debut EP. His works over the last two years exemplify Yehu’s interest in advanced rhythmic ideas, explained in his paper “An Incomplete Guide to Microprog: Codifying and applying microrhythmic effects”

VERONICA MESSINESE

Dance

Born in Barletta in 2000, she began studying classical dance in 2006 and contemporary dance in 2015. From 2019 to 2021, she attended the professional training course for dancers Libero Corpo, directed by choreographer Giulio De Leo (Menhir company, Ruvo di Puglia). In 2020, she entered the Paolo Grassi Civic Theater School in Milan, graduating in July 2023.

Between November and December 2023, she took part in the workshop Può sempre servire led by Maguy Marin and Ulises Alvarez at Teatro Due in Parma, as well as in the advanced training residency In a Landscape, focused on creation for urban and natural spaces, organized by the Danza Urbana festival in Bologna.

From March to April 2024, she participated in two stages of the European project BeInternational: the first, in collaboration with partner Scenario Pubblico, focused on screendance and choreography for the camera with filmmaker Chrysanti Badeka; the second took place within the Nu Dance Fest contemporary dance festival in Bratislava, where she performed and assisted choreographer Simone Sandroni in creating the performance Let There Be Light, which premiered on April 14, 2024.

Selected for the advanced training program run by the Arearea dance company in Udine, she specialized in technique and movement research under the guidance of established Italian choreographers and artists. She is also a performer in the choreographic project A.I. LIKE by Claudio Gattulli.

As a creator, she has developed two choreographic works: the solo DELICATE (2023), created at the Paolo Grassi Civic Theater School and performed by dancer Aichatou Cherif with dramaturgy by Alessandro Petrillo; and the duet InTra, co-performed with dancer Elena Crenca, directed by Lucia Rizzo, created and premiered in 2025 after a two-week residency as part of the Arearea company’s advanced training course.

SIMONA ANGELOVA

Simona Angelova is a student at the Academy of Arts in Sofia and a young visual artist whose practice is driven by experimentation and the search for new forms of expression. She enjoys exploring different media and sees art as a way to connect with people and exchange ideas. She has taken part in several Erasmus projects, experiences that reinforced her belief in the value of collaboration and cultural exchange. Inspired by the festival in previous years, she now joins as an artist, eager to engage in new adventures and continue her artistic development.

DAKOTA WAYNE

Music

Dakota Wayne is a composer of conceptual and performative music whose work examines the social situation in and around sound. Dakota’s work has been performed internationally at festivals, including ZeitRäume Basel [2021], impuls [2019,2023], Darmstädter Ferienkurse [2018], and SALT New Music Festival [2015]. He has worked with experienced ensembles in the field such as the kinnekt kollektiv, VanProject, Illinois Modern Ensemble, Purchase Contemporary Ensemble, as well as outstanding performers, Miranda Cuckson, Rebekkah Heller, Gunnhilldur Einarsdottir, Seth Josef, Ellen Fallowfield, Sanae Yoshida, Peyee Chen, Kalle Hakosalo, Mikolaj Rytowski, and Phoebe Bognar among others. Dakota’s work spans disciplines, as he has experience in installation and performance art as well as theater music.

IREN DIMITROVA

Digital Arts

Iren is a digital artist from Bulgaria, currently studying for a Master’s in Digital Arts at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. She has a background in Poster and Visual Communication, which shaped her love for design and visual storytelling.

Her work explores how technology and creativity can come together to tell powerful stories. She moves fluidly between static and moving images, often mixing visuals with sound and interactivity. Iren is skilled in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, Resolume and Ableton.

Fluent in both Bulgarian and English, she draws inspiration from music, books, drawing, computers, and photography. For her, art is a space for curiosity, experimentation, and constant growth.

Early-career artists from Switzerland, Italy, and Bulgaria - selected through an open call - meet for the first time within CoLab°, an interdisciplinary collaboration lab for young artists from different fields. Over several days, they work in teams, bringing together diverse artistic approaches, cultural perspectives, and personal practices to create an original project to be presented to the public. CoLab° encourages artistic risk, dialogue, and process-based thinking without expectations for a predetermined final outcome. Mentor: theatre director Ksenia Ravvina. Participants: Simona Angelova (Bulgaria), Rossella Delvecchio (Italy), Iren Dimitrova (Bulgaria), Veronica Messinese (Italy), Dakota Wayne (Switzerland), Yehu Sha’ashua-Dar (Switzerland).
