180° – Laboratory for Innovative Art is seeking a Technical Director to join the team for the 12th edition of the festival (11-17.10.2025).
Each year, 180° brings together 15–20 international artists from diverse disciplines (music, theatre, visual/digital arts). They meet in Sofia for the first time, experiment, and create brand-new projects within within a week. Since 2014, 200+ artists from 30+ countries have taken part.
As Technical Director, .you will align artistic vision with technical implementation, working closely with the artists and our small, flexible, highly motivated team.
Main responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the festival’s technical setup and timelines
- Collaborate with the artistic team, partner organizations, and technical staff
- Manage technical logistics for venues, equipment, and events
- Be present and hands-on during the implementation in October 2025
What you should bring
- Technical experience in stage lighting and/or sound
- Experience in technical coordination
- Strong organizational skills
- Good working knowledge of English and Bulgarian
- А driving licence is a nice-to-have
- Time commitment: Flexible engagement 15 Sept – 20 Oct 2025, with the main workload 6 – 20 Oct 2025.
