With the eighth edition of “180° – laboratory for innovative art” we once again announce our already well-established competition for a silent short film. This year the topic is “ZOOM”. All participants in the festival and in the competition are challenged to construct their personal notion about this word which has gained huge popularity for the past year (and a half).
We do not concretize nor contextualize it so as to give you all the creative freedom to develop your interpretation and directorial vision on the topic. This year, a mandatory requirement is that the videos should be filmed with a mobile phone or a tablet.
The jury will select the finalists among the short films that will be accompanied by live improvisation performances of our guest musicians during the festival, and at the final stage of the competition the audience will choose its winner by voting.
The 180° prize amount for 2021 is set at BGN 300.
Who can participate?
Professionals and amateur film makers – to enter the competition you should be at least 18 years old and you should reside in Bulgaria.
What are the requirements?
Shoot a silent short film (up to 1 min.) on your interpretation of the “ZOOM” topic. This year, a mandatory requirement is that the videos should be filmed with a mobile phone or a tablet. Send it to us by 23 July via our form here.
An international jury will select the finalists.
