To change society somehow.

I am a multidisciplinary artist from Amazonas, who seeks, in my artistic experiments, a dynamic balance to launch myself into migratory bodily processes of rebirth. I find in the universe of miniatures a world that welcomes my existence and narratives. I explore art as a social sculpture through encounters with people, objects, and elements of nature.

Something too right. Excessive perfectionism, maybe pedantry.

What is the meaning of life?
Life itself, existence itself.

I can’t stand them, but I’m learning.

Superpowers?
To scan people and determine their character with great accuracy in minutes.

Who is “Artist”?
Anyone who can go all the way from the birth of an idea to creating a whole that enters into dialogue, communicates with an audience.

What is art for?
It is an integral part of everyday life, so in that sense it serves a meaningful existence.

Emiliya Toncheva is an actress and a dance artist. She graduated with a major in Acting on a full scholarship from one of the most prestigious theatre academies in Asia – the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, China. After returning to Bulgaria, she graduated from New Bulgarian University with a major in Dance Theatre as well. Emiliya participated in many theatre and dance performances, among which are “In C” by Sasha Waltz in “Toplocentrala”, “Peer Gynt” in Theatre “Sofia”, dir. Katya Petrova, “Stravinsky and Chanel”, dir. Margarita Gradechlieva and etc. In her artistic projects, Emiliya Toncheva explores one’s striving for perfection and the initially doomed attempts to create utopian societies, which inevitably turn into dystopia.

A nice memory from my teenage years. Also that you can find sense in the most absurd moments and places.

What is the meaning of life?
42, I guess.

How do you feel about mistakes?
I feel that mistakes happen and one usually can get something out of them. Also it’s one of my favorite aesthetics!

Someone who does „Art“.

What is art for?
reflection,
intuition,

Jonas Harksen studied piano at the music conservatories in Detmold and Cologne. During his studies, he was active in the field of contemporary music and is now continuing his studies at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies in Gießen. He works as a musician, sound designer, and composer for theater and performance works in Germany.

Avant-garde minimalist with an impulsive desire to create and destroy.

What is your favorite number?
1 (maybe because I was born on 01.01).

Which number are you scared from?
Sometimes 13, but 0 is scarier.

What does “42” mean to you?
Abstraction, mystery, universe.

What is the meaning of life?
Seemingly none, but by living you make sense of it for yourself.

How do you feel about mistakes?
Without them, there is no authenticity. I love them!

Superpowers?
Too sensitive.

Who is “Artist”?
No one and everyone, but having a bright personality is definitely a sign of “ARTISTry”.

What is art for?
It’s useless, but like beauty – we’re doomed to look for it in everything.

Professionally, I work in advertising and design, and on the side I am a freelance artist practice, exploring different state and aesthetic realities through avant-garde art. I like and create in the directions – Art Brut, Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism, and more specifically I would define my art as “avant-garde minimalism”. In 2019 I participated in Open Call – Leshten to Little Bird Place Gallery and a subsequent collective exhibition; I was also one of the participants in the Short Film Competition – 180° Festival in 2021.
