10 August, 19:30 | Studio 5
The period between 1920 and 1930 is most known in Canada and USA as the “wild years”, in Europe as “the golden years” and in France as “the crazy years”. These years featured developments in Jazz music and brought about new dances such as the Charleston, which were considered to be provocative and indecent. For the first time in history, women shortened their dresses above the ankle and cut their hair short.
With the event Années folles, the 180° artists will take us back in time and we will get the chance to enjoy an evening in a 1920's cabaret. The authentic atmosphere will be enhanced by the music of Kurt Weill, Jan Francaix, Bohuslav Martinu, Chick Corea, Geroge Antheil, Nikos Sklakottas, etc.
Audience members dressed in 1920s style will get a complimentary glass of champagne!
